Steve Summers: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Steve Summers

I have a personal relationship with God, and Jesus Christ is my savior. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We are a busy family with 4 children, ranging in ages from 4 to 15 years old. We live in Auburn Washington and have a wide range of interests, from performing music to running to spending time with each other. We have all the challenges of raising a young family- busy schedules, peer pressure, education, finances... We rely heavily on our faith to give us strength in the hard times. We are mindful of the grace of God in the good times. At all times we look to God for guidance, comfort, and support. The Church helps us nurture our relationship with God and with Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Life today is difficult. If we let it, life would tear our family apart and leave each of us discouraged and broken. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches us to rely on the grace of God to overcome these challenges. More than teaching, the Church provides the ordinances that allow us to bind ourselves to God - we promise to follow His laws, and we receive access to His Holy Spirit to give us strength, comfort, and forgiveness. I have felt a real power at times in my life, and I've seen that power bless the lives of people around me. This is why I'm a Mormon. More than just a hope for blessings in the life to come, I receive blessings in this life that help me every day.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of my life, every day. I hope it is apparent at work, where I strive to be ethical, fair, and "an example of the believers." My faith also guides every decision I make for my family. As instructed by our leaders, I hold Family Night each Monday night for my family and this has brought tremendous blessings into our family and into the lives of my children. We read scriptures together regularly, and we pray as a family. I spend time with my children and much of that time is doing things recommended by the church - serving other people, learning, and growing together.
