I am a mother to a beautiful son. He was born on March 28th 2011. He's my pride and joy My husband is currently going to school for Computer Programing. I'm doing the "stay at home momma" thing for as long as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

On Oct. 2nd 2008 a great friend and a missionary sat me down and taught me The Plan Of Salvation. That lesson cleared up so many questions for me like Why am I here? Where did I come from? And what happens when I die? I gained a testimony though this. I know that this life here on earth isn't it, I know that I will see my mother again someday, I know I can be with my family forever, I know that our Heavenly Father loves and knows each and every one of us. I know that Jesus died for us so that our sins can be forgiven.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer is an essential part of my life. I guess I'm the kind of person that needs constant reminder that I'm not alone, and that my Father is always there to help me. I get on my knees and pray that I can get help when I am in need of making a decision. I pray for safety and health for my family. I talk to my Father so that I may feel comforted. He reassures me that everything will be alright.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church so that I may learn more about our Father in Heaven. Though prayer, so that my questions can be answered. Through reading the scriptures to learn as much as I can about God and his plan for us. By Family Home Evening, so that my family will grow closer together though the sprit.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing does not go to any member, or leader. No one in the church is paid. Tithing goes to building new temples, wards, steaks, the community, missionary work.

Tithing is paid in faith. I know these funds will not be misused. I pay tithing because it is a commandment, and because I love God and want to give Him back a small porion of what He has given me, to futher build up His church. These funds go to build and maintain church buildings and temples and other like expenses. Our clergy is not paid. There is no collection plate. We simply pay our tithing, our fast offerings, we share what we have gladly. This is God's way. For this is God's church.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe in grace 100 percent . No one can be saved, except by grace. There is nothing we ourselves can do to earn eternal life. But, we do believe that we will NOT receive grace unless we live our lives in accordance with what Christ has taught. When Christ ransomed us, became the author of our salvation, and also the perscriber of the conditions of repentance. He's told us that we need to have faith in him, repent, and be baptized for the remissions of sins, so that we may be sanctified by the Holy Ghost. He also told us that we need to endure to the end, meaning continue to strive to live by his teachings, otherwise we cannot be saved by grace. There are many today who teach that baptism is not necessary because it is a "work". We know that Christ set the example to make it perfectly clear. He also said in John chapter 3 verse 5, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
You might be thinking now, "what about those who never got a chance to be baptized?", well Heavenly Father is perfectly fair, and that opportunity will be provided for everyone to make that decision, whether in this life or in the next. The point of Baptism is making covenants. Without making these covenants Christ cannot give us grace.
Hence the doctrine of grace, and doctrine of works, coinside with each other. One cannot be without the other.
