Jackson Julian: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Jackson Julian

I'm a wrestler, a wakeboarder, a baptizer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jackson. My hometown is Parker, Colorado. I am the youngest of 4 kids. I have two brothers and a sister. My family means everything to me. My absolute favorite thing to do, my passion, is wrestling. I have wrestled for about 14 years all around the country. Also I love to wakeboard, and pretty much anything involved with the water.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church for a couple of different reasons. I grew up in the church ever since I was a little boy. I don't think I ever really comprehended what it meant to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until I was in my teen years in High School. Even then I don't think I had the STRONGEST testimony. But at this point in my life, as I look back, I can see all the blessings that the Gospel has brought to me and my family. My family is stronger than ever and the love for one another is deeper than anyone could ever imagine. I know that through the Gospel, My family will be together forever. I know that we will be able to live with God, our Heavenly Father, again someday. It is only because of the Gospel that I am able to say that I know these things. And because I know these things I have found great comfort and happiness in my life.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer is something that I am so grateful for in my life. When I am praying I know that I am truly talking with my Father in Heaven one on one. It is such a comforting feeling that he loves me so much that he is willing to listen to me and answer my prayers. There have been countless times that I have felt so low and so I raised my voice in prayer to God with all my might and he gave me the stregth that I needed to push forward. My burdens weren't lifted, but I was stregthened to be able to carry the burden and push through the trying times. I have come to know my Heavenly Father on such a more personal level just from kneeling down every morning and night and giving Him thanks for all that I have, and asking for help to overcome my weaknesses. I know that He hears me and is willing to help me.

How I live my faith

As of right now I am a missionary serving in the California Fresno Mission. So everyday I go out and meet new people and teach them of the Gospel. I testify to people of the things that I know Heavenly Father has in store for us. I testify to them that they are children of God and that because He loves us he wants us to return to live with him. I help these people draw closer to God by inviting them to be baptized by someone that holds Authority to do so. And the biggest thing is that I try my absolute hardest to just be a good person, because that is what Jesus taught us to do.
