Hi, I'm David!
I'm the father of two, I'm an athlete, I start MBA school this fall, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My wife and I have a boy and a girl. On our date nights, we love to go to "build your own frozen yogurt" shops. While living in the Canary Islands of Spain, I became fluent in Spanish. I am an MBA student. I love to play soccer and basketball.
Why I am a Mormon
My Dad is a convert to the church. From a young age, I wanted to serve the Lord as a missionary and marry in the temple. Now that my wife and I have children of our own, we feel it is essential to teach them of Jesus Christ and His Gospel.
My testimony has given me stability and hope. My mother passed away from breast cancer when I was 14. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder during college. My testimony has strengthened me in those and other moments of hardship. I am a happy person and I owe it to my faith and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Personal Stories
How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?
A knowledge of the Plan of Happiness makes all the difference when you go through life. My mother died of breast cancer when I was just 14 years old. I was the oldest of four children. We deeply missed our mother and her influence and love. My father remained strong and committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His unwavering and unyielding faith in the Lord--despite the loss of his wife--gave me confidence as his son. I have always felt an assurance that I will see my mother again.
How I live my faith
For the past year and a half I have been the local church president of a group of 30+ men ages 18-55. We gather every Sunday at church to talk about the Gospel. We also have monthly activities outside of church to build friendships and to facilitate leadership opportunities for the men of our group.
