Braxton: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Braxton

I love mountain biking and camping. I love spending time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Braxton. I am 19 years old and I am serving a mission in the Texas Houston mission. I have 6 people in my family, 1 older sister and 2 younger brothers. I have grown up in the church with parents who are very active and strong in our faith but I still had to find my own testimony. I love to play basketball, go mountain biking, golfing, snowboarding, and hanging out with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon not only because I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but because I want to. I am an adult now and have the ability to choose whether or not I want to go to church and be Mormon or not, I chose to continue going to the LDS Church. I strive hard everyday to live the commandments of God so I can live with my family for all eternity. I'm a Mormon because there are so many great blessings that come from following 'Mormonism'.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Mormons go on missions because they want to share the great gospel that has blessed their lives to others who don't have those blessings in their life yet. We are inviting others to come unto Christ by increasing their faith in him.

How has attending Church services helped you?

Attending Church can see very mundane at times but as soon as you stop going it will leave a giant hole in your spirit and you will be able to feel it and it will continually get bigger and lead to worse things. When I remember why I attend church, to renew my baptismal covenants, it makes me want to go because covenants with God are very important.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by being a full time missionary in Houston, Texas. My life for two years is dedicated to the Lord and to inviting others to come unto Christ. I go to church ever Sunday and partake of the sacrament to renew my baptismal covenants. I read my scriptures everyday to learn of Christs teachings. In my younger years I have been involved in scouts, and young mens which really made me feel a part of the ward, and brought me closer to Christ. I have a fun life, some people may think that Mormonism restricts having fun, that is because they haven't come to a reality of the amazing promises that are in store for us if we live the gospel of Christ. I live my faith with a sense of peace and comfort that everything is going to be ok if I endure to the end.
