Scott: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Scott

I love rock-climbing, swimming, volleyball, and basically everything outside and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I love it! I rock climbed a lot before I came to New York to serve it's kind of flat out here. I'm a swimmer, a camper, a volleyball..er. I love kickin' back outside.

Why I am a Mormon

It started when I was pretty young. I really wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was true. I'd been praying and reading it and I still wasn't feeling very strongly that I knew. Then, out of the blue, during a random church meeting that I almost didn't go to, the speaker was talking about the Book of Mormon, and I felt this inexpressible peace and joy that I knew that the book was true! Since then I've built on that testimony and come to know so many other truths. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church on the Earth - restored in these days. I know that Jesus Christ is the head of it and that the prophet is his mouthpiece to let us know all that we need to know.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

I had a hampster named Stretchy when I was 6. We also had a cat... One day stretchy disapeared and we searched and searched and I was crying all over the place. Then my Mom asked if I had prayed yet. I hadn't. She let me alone and I prayed and sincerely asked for help from my Father in Heaven finding my hampster. I opened my eys after praying and straight ahead was Stretchy! Crawling out of the book case. That was the first experience I had with prayer and it has been a deep part of my life ever since. I know it's real.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the church. I am called to serve in Western New York State for two years. My purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I love it! I meet people every day and get to see how the gospel pulls them out of their troubles and gives them new life.
