Carrilyne: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Carrilyne

I am a stay at home mom to 4 of the best kids on the planet! I love running, reading and date night with my hubby!

About Me

I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mom! I have four beautiful children, three girls ages 9, 7 and 5, and one boy and he is 2! Being a mom to my kids helps me find myself everyday! While being a mom is very time consuming I still find time to do things that I love!
I love running! It gives me time to just think and to challenge my body. I love to read all kinds of books and my favorite time to read is right after I wake up in the morning on the weekends. It was how I spent all my summer mornings as a kid! Now that I am a mom I can only read until the kids pull me out of bed to get them breakfast, and usually that's not long enough!
My husband has a motorcycle- which I love! I look forward to date night every Friday and if the weather is good we take the bike on a scenic loop and find cute little places to eat! The kids all wait for us to get home so they can have a turn on the motorcycle!
We also love to go sailing as a family and since we live in a land locked state it is a unique hobby! We have a catamaran that we sail on a lake that is just minutes from our house! We love breezy evenings in the spring because that means sailing!!
I love being me! I love my family! And most importantly I love living the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

There are a million and 5 reasons why I am a Mormon. But I am going two share just two really good ones.

First, it makes sense. It answers all the questions that I see so many people struggling with. There are so many movies made about people who are trying to "find themselves" . I feel sad for these people who spend so much time looking for answers to questions like: "Where did I come from?", "Why am I here?", "Who am I, and how do I 'find' myself?", "Where do we go when we die?".

I KNOW all the answers to these questions! That has always comforted me. The principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me answers and completes my life! I came from loving Heavenly Parents, who sent me to this earth. I am here on this earth to receive a body and to use my agency to make good choices in this life so I can return to my Heavenly Parents. I am a daughter of God, I can find myself by reading the teachings of my Savior, Jesus Christ and his prophets and living my life according to their teachings. When I die I will be together again with my Heavenly Parents as long as I lived according to their commandments. The gospel has always fulfilled every need I have ever had. It hasn't left me hanging yet! :)

The second reason as to why I am a mormon is my parents. And it goes along with the first reason. They taught me the gospel from the day I was born. Being a Mormon is who you are, not just something you belong to. Being a Mormon gives you a different spin on life. Just by watching my parents be who they are taught me so many important things. By watching my parents I learned I was loved and I had worth, because they loved themselves a

How I live my faith

At church on Sundays I teach the 18 month- three year old children. The class is called Nursery. I have to be honest most people dread this calling!
The kids start the class as babies clinging to their parents legs begging them not to leave and by the end of their time in the class they are wild, crazy, tantrum throwing 3 year olds. But I have to say I love it! Yes, some days are exhausting! But most days it is such an adventure! There is so much to learn from small children who are still so new to this world. I love to cuddle them, read to them, sing with them! Everything is fun and new to them and it makes me see things through their eyes

During the week when I am not at church I still have things to do. We like to look out for each other. There is always someone who needs a sitter or who needs a meal brought to them. We have a system that we call Visiting Teaching that helps us keep up with every ones needs! The ward families look out for each other and uplift each other everyday, not just on Sundays!
