About Me

I live in Fremont and have been a LDS member many years. I work in a clinic as manager. Although I am not social much in church, but I still love to go to church and feel the joy in the gospel. I love to meet more people. I value my testimony and the blessing from the only true church on the earth that brought to my life. I value the knowledge of the gospel that give me peace throughout my life. I enjoy being a Mormon. No matter how challenging my life is, I still love the church and the knowledge I received from it.

Why I am a Mormon

I love God and Jesus, and I love the church. It does not matter what happened to me in this life, whether I am lucky and not lucky. I feel that life is learning. Nothing has to be perfect in order to enjoy life.
In 1973, I was in college searching for religion. I had learned to do meditation. One night, I had a dream, an angel of God came to visit me, he said his name is Gabriel, the same angel that visited Mary (Jesus's mother). He wears a white dress length down to his knee with no shoes on. He has blonde hair with nice feature on his face. I can remember him so well even if I see him today, I will recognize him. He is young like me at the time I saw him.

He told me to come with him to a large forest, we were standing seven feet above the ground, we saw a boy aged around 15 years old, dig into the ground and find a book make of Golden plates. The angel told me that God will call him as his prophet and commanded him to translate this book into the The Book of Mormon. His name is Joseph Smith. The angel also told me to sit at Joseph’s place and feel the process of the translation, he put his hand on top of my head and give me the authority to feel this process, so I can know exactly how he translate the book. At the time I saw the writings on the Golden Plate, the translation tools. The angel also showed me the creation of mankind to the end of the world which is judgement day. One event after another. It is like flashing pictures coming to my mind as he spoke to me. After the dream is over, I could not go back to sleep, because it is so real and impressive. I feel excited and happy to know that God still care about us and send a prophet to translate the golden plate.

Six months after the dream,I met the LDS missionaries on Campus, they told me about the story of Joseph Smith, and then I recognize it and know this event has happened in 1830.

Personal Stories

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

Many things. I learn to play piano thru the Holy Ghost, I learn to draw and paint thru the holy ghost, I learn to play iywu thru the Holy Ghost, I learn to speak by tongue thru the HOly Ghost on talks in church. I learn to find prospects when on my mission in Hong kong. It increase my faith on anything I do in life. When you have enough faith you can move mountains.

How I live my faith

I love to go to the temple. In there, I feel the peace and spirituality to fight to live a better life. Although my life is not perfect, yet I am learning every minute of it.
To go back to Heavenly father is to keep the commandments of God. That is the only way we can go back to him.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The most direct answer to the question is a group of six men who signed their names to a founding document on April 6, 1830. The room was filled with believers, but six signed to fulfill New York state law. Preeminent among them was Joseph Smith, Jr. who was designated the first elder and apostle by revelation. It is Joseph Smith, Jr. who is most often referred to as the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Joseph, as a young man of eighteen years of age, was visited by an angel, the one mentioned in Revelation 14:6, who told him where an ancient record was buried which contained a history of a group of ancient, American Christians, and which also contained the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This record was translated by the gift and power of God by the young man with the aid of others as scribes and witnesses of the translation.

During translation they learned of the need of further organization, and this tiny group sought out God who sent additional angelic messengers which conferred authority from God to organize His Church again upon the earth, as it was in Biblical times. This group and those who believed their stories of miraculous events met in a farmhouse on April 6, 1830 in upstate New York to create an officially recognized organization that could hold the copyrights to the record that was translated as the Book of Mormon as well as other rights granted to religious societies.

It is called the Mormon church because of the book revealed from heaven, which is unique from all other Christian churches.
