Hi, I'm Tyler
I'm a Mormon. I am an army brat. I speak Spanish. What more, I go to college!
About Me
I am in my early twenties and am single man. I am going to college and will be studying history. My long term term goal is to be a politician, and a professor of history at a University. I love studying history as a pastime as well as world politics and culture. Museums and libraries are favorite locations for me, and I especially love to see historical sites and monuments.
I speak Spanish, because I lived for a time in Monterrey Mexico as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew to love the Mexican people as I attempted to serve them just as Jesus would have me do.
If I can find work, it will be something easy, as school takes up much of my time at the moment. I am attending Utah State University in the state of Utah, studying up on my passions of history and politics, although science I have to study as well, and while I find it interesting, it isn't easy!
I am the first son of five children in my family. I have a twin brother, as well as one other brother. Then I have a sister and also a cousin that lives with my parents, although she is now basically my sister. My Dad is a lawyer, and my Mom works full time at, well being a mom.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because it helps me see the world how it really is. The world is a confusing place, and as I study history, and observe modern politics and events, I realize just how wonderful it is that we have a modern prophet who can tell us God's will concerning the world. I also love it how I can speak to God and receive personal direction for my own life.
I have more than two books of scripture to read, one of which is The Book of Mormon, which is another Testament of the Lord Jesus Christ and recounts His teachings being spread through the ancient Americas. I also have the teachings of many modern prophets.
I know that my family can be together forever, and that once I am married, I will be able to be with my wife and children in this life and beyond the grave.
Because I am Mormon, I know these things to be true. I know Jesus Christ personally, as well as my Heavenly Father.
How I live my faith
At the moment, I attend church and will be attending group activities with other young people in the area. I am making friends, and sharing the gospel of Christ with coworkers that are not members of the church. I say my prayers and I go to church. I make sure to be an example of Christ-like living wherever I go.
