Why I am a Mormon

i am a mormon because... alot of reasons some that come to mind...

-1. Family comes first! this gospel is centerd around families i know that families can be together FOREVER and it is such a blessing for me to know that.

-2. knowing there is a prophet on the Earth today who is a mouth piece for our Heavenly Father to help guide and Protect us.

-3. Because i have taken the time to study my scriptures!! i love the Bible and as i have Read the Book Of Mormon, it has strengthened my tesitmony of the Bible

-4. because i asked My Father in Heaven if the Book Of Mormon is true, and pondered and waited andi recieved my answer! i know with out a doubt this in the true church

Being a missionary is a real blessing i get a oppertunity to help other come unto Christ by helping learn more of His Gospel
it such a blessing being able to have a knowledge that i can be able to pass on to others and to continue to PAY IT FORWARD.

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

i believe my talents can help because i can relate to certain people, the expiriences i have had in my life i know that i can help them cope with what ever it is they need help with
i know as a missionary sometime when im knocking on doors i sing and people will answer right in mid-song. at first it used to be embarassing (spelling ;)) but now if they catch me singing its a good ice breaker. haha
as long as your being your self whatever happens is for the best i see it as im on a mission and the lord called me so be myself! :)

Why do Mormons go on missions?

the reason i came on a mission is because they knowledge i have of this gospel i have didnt just come all at once i had to search for my self, i have a very good friend of mine whos example has helped me become the person on who i am today. And when the oppertunity for me to go and share my faith came there was no way i was going to pass that up!
and now im here in Beautiful TEXAS talking to everyone i can sharing that i know to be true, i love being able to tlak to everyone about there faith and sharing what i know about mine. i dont want any of my brother and sisters to be left behind cause i didnt share my faith with them, i love this gopsel and i know that its TRUE and i am so greatful i got to come and teach people if the fullness of the Gospel

How I live my faith

i live my faith loudly!!
getting to know people and their beliefs and sharing simple testifmony to them of what i know is true. i love my faith by being a friend to those i meet!

What are Mormon Temples used for?

The Temple is a place that Families can be together FOREVER!! i am so greatful for my parents and there goal to Enther into the HOUSE OF THE LORD worthily so i could be sealed to them for all eternity and i know when my time comes the be married i have my eye on the prize THE TEMPLE!
being sealed is Heavenly Fathers stamp of approval on what has taken place and if my Father in Heaven approves than i know it must be good! :)

They are peaceful, pure places, where only those who have committed to live the most discipled lives can go to ponder and pray. They are places where we learn about God's plan for all of humanity, and where we promise to do all in our power to help all of His children, and receive promises that we can be with Him as well. We wear white clothing that is simple, and remove our watches and bling, to demonstrate a willingness to let go of our day-to-day concerns to focus on the real things: people, and their worth to God.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

I am sexually attracted to other males. For awhile, I struggled with how a loving Heavenly Father could allow for me to be attracted to other males, and then ask me to abstain from same-sex relationships. However, as I have tried to deal with my attractions in a Christ-like manner, I have found that He really does love me. I have grown so much spiritually as I have learned to deal with my same-sex attractions. I now understand that everyone has challenges in this life. I am no different.

The Church has a high standard on morality. The only sexual relationships that are permitted are between a man and his wife. This may prove difficult for both people with same-sex and opposite-sex attractions. However, I believe that by obeying this law, we can gain greater peace and happiness. God does know what is best for us, and He gave us this law to bless us.

Same-sex marriage distorts what marriage is all about. It is based on the lie that because you are attracted to the same sex, you need to be in a same-sex relationship in order to be "true to yourself". Many members of the Church can testify that this is not true. Some have found peace and joy in celibacy, and others gone on to have faithful and fulfilling marriages. For a long time, I thought I couldn't get married, but the Lord has blessed me to develop a sexual attraction to a beautiful woman and we have a wonderful marriage.
