Hi, I'm Diane
I have 2 small dogs, a cat and a red convertible and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I've had many interesting jobs such as a pizza cook, playground supervisor, car sales agent, secretary, fry cook, house cleaner and lately looking after a senior citizen. I have travelled from the east coast to the west coast of Canada and met a lot of wonderful people. I have been a Mormon for 28 yrs and it has been the most spiritually uplifting time of my life. The ward I am in are the most loving and awesome people I have ever encountered. I do crafts for hobbies but I love golf. I wish the whole world would open their minds and accept the gospel.
Why I am a Mormon
I was brought up in anothe faith but I always felt something was missing. When the missionaries started coming to my house, my daughter and I took the discussions and were baptized a few months later. My husband at the time and son were not interested. I loved how the people at church made me feel so good about myself. The Book of Mormon answered a lot of questions I had and confirmed the Bible study I already knew. This gospel brings me peace and joy in my life and prayers along with scripture study help bring me closer to my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know what I am being taught is true and I know from prayer that this church is true.
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?
We believe that those that have died without knowing the gospel in their lives deserve a chance to accept or reject the gospel. We do geneology on our own familes to trace back our ancestors as far as we can and then do baptisms for the dead. They now have a chance to accept the gospel.
How I live my faith
I try to be kind to everyone I meet. I read the scriptures and pray often so that I strengthen my testimony every day. If I can help anyone I do. "When we are in the service of others we are in the sevice of our Lord" is my motto. I am a ward misionary and love to go out with the Sister Missionaries to teach people who are investigating our church. It gives me great joy to spread the gospel in a small way. I love to do my Visiting Teaching every month although that needs improvement all the time. I think I have more patience dealing with others now and try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I ove to laugh and in so doing touch others with humor.
