I converted into the church when I was 17. I am the only member in my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am about to be a freshmen in college. I love the outdoors and to ski. My first and only love is Volleyball;) atleast at the moment.

Why I am a Mormon

I use to make fun of Mormons. I was partying every weekend and not headed down the right path at a young age. My new years resolution was to go back to church. Never in a million years would I have imagined I'd end up at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I took lessons for a month and felt the spirit right away. The ward I was in accepted me with open arms and invited me in their homes for dinners and discussions. February 2011 I got baptized at age 17. My parents were opened to the idea and knew i was mature enough to make my own decisions. It has blessed my life in ways i never thought I would ever imagine. I have never found true happiness ever in my life untill i discovered the church.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

If you ever need help, God has the answer. Even if it is not the answer you want to receive, it will turn out to be beneficial. I have prayed about many many things and received answers that helped me plan out my life and let go of the things that were not making my life any better.

How I live my faith

I am Laurels Secretary for the short time I am in Young Womens program. I love every single girl I have met and the girls in my ward. Young Womens is a good place for young girls to come together and bond with God and Jesus Christ at the center of it all. I am also in the process of having my family converted because I truly believe families can be together for all eternity. I also share the gospel with all my friends. I am definitely NOT shy about sharing the gospel. I got my bestfriend to convert and I am encouraging others to investigate the church.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No, we do not participate. They call themselves reformed Mormons, which is not part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe that there are modern day Prophets, and they asked God about practicing plural marriage and they received an answer through prayer that is was not something that should not be practiced.

Absolutely not!! This is one of the many myths about Mormon's that hollywood and the media continue to propogate. It is true that the early memebrs of the church did practice polygamy, but the church oficcialy denounced the practice 150 years ago!! If any church member today practices polygamy they are excommunicated. There are people who leave the LDS church and start their own religion base loosely on LDS beliefs. Some of them practice polygamy. They are NOT memebrs of the LDS (Mormon) chruch, nor do they have any affiliation with the LDS church.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes. We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior and we follow His teachings. We believe He is essential for salvation.
