Cassie: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Cassie

I'm a military brat and an aspiring writer attending school fulltime for English. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to write. Mostly fantasy or science fiction but recently I've gotten into steampunk and modern romance the not bad kind. I'm currently attending school as an English Major and I'm not sure what I'll do when I'm finished. At present I have a few options but I plan on keeping them open for as long as possible. I like to travel and one of my ultimate goals is to visit every temple in the world. I've currently made my first international dent when I visited Seoul, South Korea last summer. Aside from writing I've recently picked up oil painting. I have absolutely no talent but as with the wise servents in the New Testament parable, I'm taking what talents I have and I'm expanding them to include others. Will I ever be any good? Well, I'll never be Michelangelo but I think I'll improve. It's all about staying positive ^_^

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's where I feel I belong. One of the greatest things about this church is that, no matter where you go, it's always home. I remember once, I was working in California seven days a week. I was alone, I was tired, I was depressed and even a little scared. My fifth week there, I ran into the missionaries at Best Buy and they told me that a chapel was near by.

That Sunday I went to church for the first time in over a month and I'd never felt so at peace. It was a Spanish ward, so I couldn't understand a word they said, but it didn't matter because I already knew what they were saying.

Jesus Christ lives. He loves me. He knows me. He cares how I feel and what happens to me. That's why those missionaries were there when I needed them, because He's always there when I need Him.

How I live my faith

One of my professors once said, "...if you truely, honestly believe something with your whole heart, there's no way to hide it. It shows in everything that you do." So while holding callings and bearing my testamony are all things that I do, the greatest way I live my faith, is by believing. Because if I believe, people will notice.
