Hi, I'm Kerry
I love the Lord and my family. I'm a full-time Mum and wife, and I love it! I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My greatest joy in this life is my family. I have a great balance of family, friends and faith that helps me in my day to day existence. I love to read, trace my family history, scrapbook and cook. I have enjoyed employment in many fields but I am most satisfied when I'm taking care of those I love. So, to this end, I am now a full-time homemaker, and I love it!
Why I am a Mormon
I wasn't raised with religion and yet, I knew the gospel was for me when I learned about it. As a young adult who had lived outside the church, I am so grateful to have the Lord's blessings as I continue in this life. Having found my eternal companion, I have embraced the priority of "Family First". As a mother of four premature babies, I have witnessed His grace and mercy in my life, and theirs, continually. No matter what we want in life, I have enjoyed the way the Lord always meets our needs. His all-encompassing love is unconditional. As a parent I have learned how to love the child, not necessarily the behaviour. Our Heavenly Father looks on us in this same light, and He never gives up on us. This has helped me to know who I am in God's eyes, and to know that His love for me is great. As a daughter of God, I have a very special role to play on this earth at this time. I will be all He wants me to be by finding JOY in the journey. That is my promise to Him.

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?
I am so grateful for the knowledge we have about the Plan of Happiness. It helps me to see the bigger picture and not "sweat the small stuff". Whenever I have decisions to make I look at where the outcome may lead me. I think of the consequences for every choice I make and decide accordingly. Will it keep me on the path back to the Lord? Will I regret going in this direction? Am I right with God? If a choice will make me falter and stop me from being able to hold my head up, that is not a road I wish to travel. I always think of what would bring happiness to my Father in Heaven. That is the choice I make.
Why do Mormons go on missions?
I met my husband whilst he was on his mission and my son is currently serving his mission. If I have a great recipe for the best chocolate cake, or read a fantastic book, I want to share these things with others. The gospel is so much more important than recipes and works of fiction. So if we have the chance, we need to share what we know. The gospel is sacred, not secret, and it is our responsibility to help the Lord declare His word to all the world. All need to have the opportunity to participate in His great plan.
How I live my faith
I love to have opportunities to help strengthen others. I feel that we each have a responsibility to share all the talents and gifts that we have been given. As such, I love teaching moments. Within the home, in church classes with the young and the young at heart, there are always things to teach and as I teach, I learn. I live my religion by doing those things I would like my children to do, as they see my example. I have helped in the school communities of my children; have held fund-raisers for charities; and have always been a listening ear or shoulder to either cry or lean on. I love helping others as I have been helped throughout my life, both as a new wife and as a young mum. Now that I'm a little older and wiser, I enjoy doing for others as I have had done unto me.
