I consider myself a writer, an artist, a teacher, and a great cook. I am a passionate child advocate. I love organizing everything; I'm a perfectionist to a fault. Nothing excites me more than spending time with my husband, my best friend in every way. I find immense pleasure sitting on the floor with my fingers tangled up in my daughters' hair, styling the latest home fashion. I love being a mother...and I make A LOT of mistakes. I am a creative person and although I enjoy crafty things, I rarely have time to pursue them. I left the trees back home to further my education and I've been working on it ever since. After a B.A. in Communications and a Master's in Education I am back to learning the lessons of life, mostly from my three little girls who have been my greatest teachers all along. The best thing that ever happened to me was marrying a man who is just as goal-driven as I am. Together we can't get enough of being a family and the unbelievable happiness it brings. Life has definitely afforded us MANY challenges in eight years of marriage, but I can honestly say that with the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life I can't imagine life being more exquisite!
I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ! I am grateful to have been born to parents who were already members, but it is because of my own personal conversion to the gospel that I am a member of this church. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and I know that He is my Savior. I have dedicated my life to living the principles and doctrines of happiness that He has taught. I also know that this is His only true and living gospel. I know that He loves all people of all religions, but it is only through His true gospel that we can partake of all the blessings He offers us. Of all these blessings, the ordinance of eternal marriage means everything to me. I want to be with my husband and my sweet girls forever, and I know that through the sacred ordinances of the temple that these promises come directly from God, they are not merely a hope or a wish or the promise of a church leader. Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father have blessed us with life in order to experience joy. This would be impossible without direct guidance in a world that is constantly changing. I know that God has appointed a living prophet to convey that guidance and leadership. Just as in time of old, our modern-day Prophet and Apostles carry His loving messages of guidance to us on earth. I know that His is a gospel of pure joy and happiness. It has filled my life with peace, direction, and freedom to excel in all that I aspire to. I have realized all these blessings and so much more from being a member of this church. I know for myself that the teachings of this church are true. That is why I am a Mormon.
I live my faith by prayerfully seeking each day how I can become more like my Savior in order to be a better wife, mother, friend, and neighbor. In specific ways, I enjoy grinding my own wheat and baking bread for my family. I love living by the principles of health and wellness that we are taught in the gospel by cooking healthy meals for my family and living active lives together. I visit regularly with other women from church to share our lives and testimonies together and serve them in any way I can. I enjoy sharing life experiences and testimonies of Christ with other dear friends who are not members of my church. I have struggled to gain an education and to continue to educate myself however I can. I love spending time at our local temple, where I feel closer to my Savior than anywhere else. I also get to teach the 3- and 4-year-olds at church; it is such a thrill to teach them about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and to see their faces light up as they participate in our lessons. My most important endeavor is to teach them and my own children that their Savior, Jesus Christ, and their Heavenly Father are real, that They love them, and that they can develop personal relationships with Them. One of the most important ways I have learned to live my faith is by making it my own; Heavenly Father expects each of us to know His will for ourselves and to follow His appointed leaders with the use of our individual agency, prayerfully seeking confirmation as we exercise our faith. I also seek to live my faith by loving life and trying to live it with gratitude, attempting to embrace both the challenges and fulfilling rewards that come our way. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan of happiness for each of us and that all of these experiences are a part of that.
