Darron Dowda: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Darron Dowda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a property manager. I grew up in Colorado and love the mountains. I married my junior high school sweetheart and we have two children. I have a deep appreciation for Native American heritage.

Why I am a Mormon

The missionaries found my family when I was 2 years old. My family joined the Church when I was around 3 years old. I gained my testimony at the age of 7 when I came to know the love of my Savior and the beauty of his Gospel. Throughout my life I have seen the Gospel in action and our Savior's servants bless my life. I felt so strongly about this message that I took 2 years of my life and served a mission in Great Britain so that I could share the joyful message of the Gospel with others. I strive each day to live as close to my Savior as I can, and do what I can to share His love and message with others.

Personal Stories

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

I know that through communication with my Heavenly Father that my prayers are answered. I know that when I have prayed in my darkest hours, and my times of need, or of greatest want, each of my prayers has been answered. At times my prayers have been answered through the service of others. At other times, the answers have come after quiet meditation and listening to the Spirit. I have also been blessed to find the answers through studying the scriptures and counsel of our prophets and apostles. I know that each of us can get answers to prayers, as our Savior promised in the Book of James.

How I live my faith

I had the opportunity to work as a family history consultant for 5-1/2 years. I enjoyed helping others to find their roots and to know where they came from. I have also been an assistant Scoutmaster and Merit Badge counselor, where I helped boys become the kind of young men that our world needs: honest, true, chaste, and kind. I also have an assignment to help care for four families in the congregation where I worship.
