Kevin Vehar: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Kevin Vehar

I'm a husband, a father of two girls, a rabid football fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am passionate about three things in life: My God, Family and BYU Sports. Yes, I am a pretty boring and average Joe.

I love my family (wife and two daughters). Nothing makes me more happy than spending time with them. Parks, pools and sports fill our days with fun and laughter. My wife and I met at BYU-Idaho and have been married for 9 wonderful years.

I was raised in Colorado and have lived in several states. However, my wife and I settled down in Colorado because we love it for its outdoor beauty and 300+ sunny days.

Anybody that knows me, even slightly, knows I am passionate about BYU Sports. (especially Football). I wear my BYU colors with pride and without excuses. Just to show how much of a fanatic I am, both my girls knew the BYU Cougar Fight Song (from start to finish) by 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know our faith to be true. I know God answers prayers and is always there for us, as long as we are willing to seek Him. By living the doctrine of Christ, I am happy, relaxed and free. Most of all, the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me a better person. I have a firm testimony that Christ lives and is our Savior, the true Son of God. God and Christ want me and all his children to live these principles so we can all be truly happy.

Personal Stories

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

In small and simple ways my prayers have been answered. My Father in Heaven knows me and knows what is best for me. As long as I have faith, I have always been blessed to have my prayers answered. If we just stop and observe, we often find that the Lord has answered our prayers.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve the youth of our Church and their friends who are not of our faith. It takes several hours per week, but it is worth it to help serve the future generation of country.
