Hi, I'm David
I grew up in Ozark, AR. I am a Violinist and Guitarist, I love playing, writing and listining to music. And I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I love music, I've played violin since I was 5, bluegrass to classical. I started playing guitar at 14 and have a couple of recordings floating around. I love music, it is my life. I am a college student at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith where I am studying Biology. I am an avid outdoorsman and love firearms. I hike and kayak with my friends when I can and I love to cook out doors. God has given us a beautiful world and I love to explore every part of it from Prokaryotes to star gazing on cool Ozark nights. I played a lot of sports in high school and I love to swim. I coached a swim team and really enjoy helping others find there best, and then helping them improve to become better. In life I have done a lot of neat things and seen a lot of cool places, but I find the most peace and serenity when studying the scriptures and doing the will of the Lord. I think obedience to God’s commandments is what brings true peace and serenity in my life, and that obedience is the key to happiness both in this life and for eternity. I am one of 7 children, 6 boys and 1 girl. I come from a diverse family, but I would not have it any other way. I love my family and enjoy going on family outings together. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the center point of our family and we can pull our strengths from that, even if we do not always get along, in the end, we are still there for each other.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born into the church. I grew up in the church and I was taught in my youth to love my Lord and Savior. I have found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints more peace and solice in a a constantly quivering world than any other thing or all other things togethter. I have gained for myself a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and I know that my Redeemer lives. I believe that God is and eternal and unchanging God and therefore there must needs be a Restoration to the truthfulness of the Church Christ established while on this earth and I have found for myself through scripture studyand humble prayer that this is the true church of JEsus Christ. That is why I am a Mormon, am member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
How I live my faith
I am substitute Primary teacher, it is the best calling ever. I learn so much from the children and they truly humble me to live a better life. Christ said we must all become as little children, I think I understand that better now.
Right now I am serving as a full time missionary in the Virginia Richmond Mission!
I live my faith by being who Christ wants me to be and doing what I know to be true, so in other words, living life as a Christian.
