Why I am a Mormon

My husband & I were trackted out by the missionaries. I was searching for truth & I knew very early in our discussions that what they taught us was exactly that. It rang then & rings now, with pure clarity that nothing on this earth can come even close to matching.
I know with surety that this gospel is His. I know Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ came to this earth to restore Their truth. I know They live. I know They love us - all of us. And I know Christ died for us that we might live, and this atonement is ever extended, with His open arms, toward all. I know the Spirit will testify to anyone that asks with sincerity of heart. I share this testimony with you, in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

Joseph Smith was & is a good man - an extraordinary man who gave his life for the cause of the restoration of the gospel. He was indeed a mortal, but - a prophet of God. Despite the many reports by the world, the unrighteous designs of men, or by evil thoughts put into the hearts of men by Satan himself, Joseph was & is & will forever be a prophet of God.
I know his work was directed by the Savior Himself. I know Joseph did all he could do to be obedient to the work he was called to perform. I know his life was a difficult one that he himself described as "deep water is what I am wont to swim in", but I know also that it was filled with many blessings that came because of his association with the Savior. I know he loves the Savior and I'm so grateful for this, another testimony of pure truth. I share again, these things with you, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher in the women's organization in our church. I love my calling. It's wonderful to be in the Lord's service. I benefit greatly. I also visit a few sisters monthly in another women's program. We learn to get to know & love & look out for one another in this program.
I'm continually busy with family & horses & church. Life - truly is good! The gospel has taught me to 'see' with different eyes - the beauty all around us & to know gratitude.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

God will answer this question - if you ask Him in sincerity. He gives us the Spirit, who will testify of all truth. Read the Book of Mormon or listen to the teachings from the missionaries, a member friend, or a church leader. Ponder, pray & be ready to receive truth & it will come to you. The beautiful truth will make your cup 'run over'!

Live it. If you can commit to yourself and God to give all you have to discovering for yourself if the church is true through living the principles taught and asking God, in the name of Christ, to reveal the truth to you, I can give you my personal witness you will feel in your heart the comforting reassurance that you have found the truth. Moroni 10:3-5

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Women have a divine role, as designed by Heavenly Father before we came to earth. We were given the sacred opportunity to be mothers and to work alongside the brethren of the church to serve, uplift, and strengthen others. Women are powerful and strong forces for good in the world. We must be careful, however. The world today often tries to demean the divine role of womanhood by over-sexualizing women or saying that they should be the same as men. Women and men are different for divine purposes. I don't want to be a man. I know that Heavenly Father sent me here to be who I am because I can contribute to this great work in a way that no one else can. I'm grateful to be a woman today.
