About Me

I'm currently serving a full time mission for the Church in the Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission! I also had the wonderful opportunity to serve for a couple of months in the California Roseville Mission. I'm the 2nd oldest of four kids. I have two brothers and one beautiful little sister! I love my family more than anything! My younger brother is also out on his mission right now in the Mexico Tijuana Mission! ♥ I'm 23 years old! I love to learn and I graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in Psychology. While in school I worked for a nonprofit organization helping children to learn to read. I love working with kids! I love warm weather, listening to good music, and traveling. I lived in Germany for three years when I was younger and traveled a bit throughout Europe. It's absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to go back someday!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church and seeing the blessings that come through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ lives and I know that the Church is true! I've never been more happy than I am right now, serving a mission and sharing my beliefs with others~

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a little better and a little more Christlike each and every day. (:

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

There are doctrinal answers to why we believe we need a Savior to redeem us from the Fall of Adam and to return us to our Father in Heaven that you'll probably come across here. But let me tell you why I need a Savior personally and what He does for me. Christ suffered personally for my pains, sorrows, and sins so that if I ask Him too, He can take them from me. I have been the victim of abuse in my life, and yet through Him I have been able to lay it all at His feet, freely forgive, feel peace, find love, and understand how important negative life experiences can be in teaching us humility. Daily He takes my pain and replaces it with pure love so that I am no longer a victim, but a victor. I need a Savior because He knows me, and through him my flaws become strengths and my pain becomes peace. Show more Show less

Have you ever met a perfect person? I doubt it. Why? Because everyone makes mistakes. When you make a mistake or are confused on what you should do, you want someone to help you, right? We all need someone to help us. We all need a Savior. We always hear that Jesus Christ saved us, but what does that truly mean? It not only means that he suffered and died for you personally, it means that he lived and lives for us too. He wants to help us. Jesus Christ is the only one who underestands everything that we go through. He not only wants to make up for the mistakes we make, but he wants to carry our burdens too. All we need to do is let him carry our burdens. Everyone faces personal challenges and Jesus is there to help. Everyone makes a mistake qa some point in life too. The beauty of having a Savior, is the fact that we can be forgiven. Sometimes our hands get dirty, but they can always be washed clean. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The introduction of the Book of Mormon begins claiming that "[it] is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a record of God’s dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains the fulness of the everlasting gospel." It continues on to add that "the book was written by many ancient prophets by the spirit of prophecy and revelation." Just as the Bible was written by many ancient prophets, namely Moses, Isaiah, John the Revelator, etc, the Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets such as Nephi, Alma, Ether, Mormon, Moroni etc. God has called men from the beginning of time to receive revelation and guide His children; we have evidence in the Bible of His dealings in Israel... but if we are truly all God's children and He loves each of us, why would he lead a portion of His people and leave another in darkness? He would not do it. He would become a partial God if He were to do so, and He has never, and will never, be a partial God. Just as He called these men to bring truth to the people of Israel, He also brought those same truths to another portion of His children through prophets in the ancient Americas. In John 10:16, Jesus gave evidence of another people under Him saying; "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." The people in ancient America fell among the sheep He spoke of, and the Book of Mormon came forth from them. Show more Show less
