I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a working mother of two beautiful children. I recently completed my educational goal of obtaining my Masters degree. I grew up with only sisters and since the tradition on my father's side of the family had been military as the only tomboy I graduated from high school and I joined the Army. I truly love my God and my country.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the covenant; however, my father chose to become inactive for 10 years of my adolecence to investigate other religions. Of course this meant that he drug along his family. It wasn't until I had children of my own that I realized the true church, the one I felt most comfortable raising my children in was the LDS church.

Personal Stories

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I try to share the gospel by being a good example. Since I do work outside of the home this can often be challenging. There are a lot of temptations in the world and it is my feeling that if I avoid the temptation and overcome peer pressure my light will shine bright enough to fend off an sometimes even convert the tempters.

How I live my faith

I currently hold a calling of Editor for our Ward Newsletter. It is a difficult but challenging calling.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

The President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the modern day prophet, Thomas S. Monson. It is comforting to me to know that prophets of our Lord and Savior are still called to dwell on the earth today. This to me says that our Heavenly Father did not leave us alone to figure things out for ourselves.

The president of the church today is the prophet of the world. His name is Thomas S. Monson. I know he is lead by God and leads God's church.

Are Mormons Christians?

This question always surprises me when I am asked. I always answer with a resounding "YES". We are Christians in every sense of the word. We believe in Christ. He is the head of our church. All of our teachings are based on Him. We have hope in His eternal atonement.
