I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Brazil. I'm 18 years old. I'm studying law and I love my family and friends.

About Me

I am a single woman and I've served as teacher for the kids from the Church. I love serving in the Church. I am studying to reach my bachelor's degree in law. I really want to get married and I want to have many children.

Why I am a Mormon

Be a Mormon is a challenge but I think it's the most important thing that happened to me was knowing this Gospel. I've converted when I was 15. Only my sister and I started go to Church and this is the same in these days. I love to be a Mormon and I want it during all the eternity. I love to live the standards of the church. It makes me feel closer my Savior and my Heavenly Father, and help my brothers here on Earth.

How I live my faith

I teach some kids in the Church (They are between 4 and 8 years old). It's really interesting and rewarding serving in the Church. I attend Church every Sunday. I go to the church activities every time it's possible. I want to help others to feel the love of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

It talks about our healthy and what God expect from us, our action about our body that is a gift from Him. Our body is a temple and we must take care of it. So the Lord has advised us about things that we should do to be happier and have a better life.

The word of wisdom is the Lord's law of health. We abstain from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, coffee, and tea, and are encouraged to eat wholesome food and grains, and not eat excessive meat. I am asked all of the time by my fellow residents at the hospital why I don't drink coffee, and how I can stay awake all night on call without it. I don't consider it a sacrifice, though, and am as awake and perform as well as any. It is true that the body will be more healthy when following the word of wisdom, the but the main benefit is spiritual. The knowledge that you are in line with the the Lord's teaching is the most important thing.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship our risen Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ and God our Eternal Father. We hold Joseph Smith in the same regaurd that the Children of Israel held Moses in the Old Testement. He is a great man, and we love, respect and look up him as a Prophet of God, but he can not bring us salvation. That is only done through our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the head of this, His true Church.
