Hi, I'm Erin
I am a wife, mother to 4 and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a stay at home mom to my four kids (5 yr, 3 yrs and twin babies). I love the saying I am a professional wiper...wiping counter, faces, floors, hands and various other surfaces. I do a lot of wiping.
I love reading, writing, fresh air and spending time with my family...I used to have a lot more hobbies in my pre baby days.
I love being a mom and I love being a wife.
I have been married for 8 years.
Why I am a Mormon
I did not grow up Mormon. I had a lot of Mormon friends and even attended a few activities and dances growing up. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I had a desire to become closer to Christ. I wasn't sure exactly how to go about this, but I knew I wanted to KNOW that there was a God and I wanted to KNOW that there was a plan for me. I attended a few different churches. While I met some great people I had not developed that true faith that I was in search of. I was invited to church by my boyfriend of the time. I am not sure what kept me coming back but there was just something that felt different and I had to figure out what that something was. I started taking the missionary discussions, I took them for awhile. I was hesitant because as much as I loved coming to church I knew so many people thought of Mormons as "weird" and I didn't want to be treated differently or looked at differently by my friends and family. Finally one night I was looking through one of the pamphlets the missionaries gave me and I came across Moroni's promise
"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." [Moroni 10:4]
I knelt down and prayed and that night and I received an answer. It was the first true spiritual experience I had ever had.
I knew at that time that this was Gods church.
I was baptized the day after my senior prom.
It was by far the best decision I have ever made.
I know the great life I have no is because of this choice.
How I live my faith
I attend church on Sundays with my family. I have served the youth in the church for most of my married years. I study my scriptures and teach my children about Christ and The Plan of Salvation.
