Chat With a Mormon Online
I am 21. I love sports, cooking and my family. I am in college but I'm not a very good student. Instead of studying I prefer to bike ride down the canyon, eat popsicles, watch movies, make slip n slides, make ice cream, go swimming, play four square, or just about anything else with my friends. Last summer I lived in Fiji for three months to do some humanitarian work. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I love everything about the country, the people I served, the people I served with and the projects I got to do.
I was raised Mormon. My parents are Mormon, my brother is Mormon, my sisters are Mormon. When I was young I didn't question it. Going to church was what my family did. Its what my Mormon friends did. It was normal. As I got older and more involved in church activities, I wondered if it really was true. If the things which I had grown up learning were things that I should still believe in. As I prayed to God for an answer to my questions, I felt peace. I didn't have any miraculous visions or wild confirmations of the truth but I knew that the things that I had been learning and believing all my life were the things of God. To this day I know that being a member of the Mormon church has blessed my life so much. I know that by making good choices in my life I have been able to have happiness and that the knowledge of gospel gives me hope and faith in my life.
I live my faith by attending church every sunday. As a youth, I participated in activities with other youth in the church doing service, learning more about the gospel, or just having fun with one another.
