Bettijo: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Bettijo

I'm a busy mother of three girls, a graphic designer, a professional blogger, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a busy mother of three girls, and I run my two businesses: Bath By Bettijo (www.bathbybettijo.com) and Another Leaf Designs (www.anotherleaf.com). I love all things to do with paper and printing. In my "spare" time I also enjoy art, retro-modern design, photography and making new things. If you really want to learn more about me, check out my blog at http://www.PagingSupermom.com.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Christ lives, and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His true church. I believe that God has an eternal plan for me and that he provided Jesus as a Savior to help me and all of His children overcome the imperfections that make us human, so that one day we can live with God and all of our family again in Heaven. I know that this life is a test and that the trials I face (which sometimes seem like too many or too overwhelming) are given to help me to learn and grow. If I keep sight of the Eternal Perspective the day-to-day difficulties are always more manageable. I have battled Depression in my life, and the best prescription for my depression has been getting enough sleep and keeping reminders around of the Eternal Perspective. It helps me to know that the problems in my life don't come because I keep "making mistakes," but rather they are specific tests chosen to strengthen me.

How I live my faith

I go to Church every Sunday, and I make sure my family is there with me too. I am constantly amazed and grateful for the things my kids learn while in the children's classes at Church. My husband and I make it a priority to read the scriptures with our children and to have one night a week that is a Family Night where we can teach our children about the Gospel and Christ, but it is a relief to know that I don't have to teach my kids alone. That by taking them to Church each week they are being taught by others who share my Faith and can help strengthen my children and prepare them to meet the challenges of life that I know are ahead of them.

I enjoy serving in the Church's women organization called the Relief Society. In the church we call each other "Brother" and "Sister," and I know at first it seems strange, but it makes so much sense to my heart because I truly feel like those I attend Church with are all part of my extended family.
