I grew up in Ogden, Utah and then moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University. I loved attending BYU! I met and married my husband there. From January 2006- May 2006, I lived in Iasi, Romania while volunteering in a local hospital, a local orphanage, and the church in Iasi. After I returned, I married my husband in December 2006. I then graduated from BYU with a degree in Sociology. After my husband finished school, we moved to Omaha, Nebraska so my husband could begin his career. We have two wonderful children, a three-year-old daughter and a six-month old son.
I was born and raised a member of the church. As a small child, I remember my parents teaching me about Jesus and about the gospel. As I got older, I began to have spiritual experiences of my own and began to gain a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I am a Mormon because I have received many witnesses which have testified that this is the true church upon the earth today. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith restored the church and translated for the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that we can learn more about our Savior and about how we should live our lives through reading the Book of Mormon. I know that we are led by a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that my Savior lives and that He knows me personally. He knows my heart and my desires. I'm so grateful for His atoning sacrifice which allows me to strive each day to be a better wife, mother, member of the church, neighbor, and friend.
At church, I serve the women ages 18+ who are in need of some assistance or help at times in their lives. For example, when a woman near me has a baby, I coordinate with other women to have meals taken into the family in need. In this way, we can all serve each other, as the Savior did during His mortal ministry. At home, I am a full-time mom. I strive to teach my children to be kind and loving, to be hard workers, and to have a testimony of the gospel.
