Hi, I'm Sydney
I'm a 26 year old navy wife and mother to three kids, 2 boys & a girl. I'm a photographer and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years. We have three kids: 5 & 3 year old boys and a 6 month old girl. I love playing "Button Button" with my kids and reading them "Love You Forever" at bedtime. We have been in the Navy for just over 2 years. Born and raised in Utah, in an LDS family, I was the oldest of 6 kids. I am in love with my Nikon D5000 and never go anywhere without it. I am a newborn photographer and love making graphic designs, like birth announcements and logos. I am a stay-at-home-mommy and get the chance to be with my kids all day, everyday, and most days I love it, other days, totally need a break!
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in the church, and wouldn't have it any other way. I love knowing that the gospel is for me, for my family. I love going to bed at night knowing that if I die tomorrow, I will have the chance to spend the rest of all eternity with my loved ones. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that he died for me. For ME. Suffered on that cross for ME. So I COULD make mistakes, learn from them, repent if I've done something wrong, and be able to return to live with him and our Heavenly Father when it's time. I know he loves each and every one of us. We are his children, and he's there when we need him.
Personal Stories
How does making right choices help us make more right choices?
When it comes to making decisions in day to day life, there are times where we are faced with making the right one vs. the wrong one. Making the right decisions, in turn makes me feel happy and content, and I KNOW that Heavenly Father is proud of me for making the right one! It helps me to understand that with his help, and the help of the others around me, I can make even more good choices in my life. When I surround myself with people who make right choices, it makes it easier for me in turn to make more.
How I live my faith
I help out with the young girls in our church, 9 - 10 year old girls. Teaching them simple parts of our Gospel, such as our very first Article of Faith: "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.". I attend meetings on Sundays, and while we may not always be on time, we strive to make it each and every Sunday. I am always trying to give to others and help people out, because I have been on the receiving end in the past. It's so very wonderful to know that I can help others out with their needs. It's also very comforting for me to know that our whole entire ward, which is the group of people that go to our church, is there for our family, no matter what the need may be.
