About Me

I love being me. I get to be married to a great guy and have great kids. I love picking vegetables out of my garden and eating them warm from the sun. I love to get out and explore this great area. I love sitting in the sun with my eyes closed to just soak the warmth in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because I as born into it, but because I wanted more out of life. There was a time in my life that I didn't go to church because it looked like more fun on the other side. One day I realized all the things I had been taught growing up wouldn't be mine if I didn't go back to church. It wasn't an easy road and I almost quit going many times. The more I went the more I knew that the gospel was true. I gained a testimony that my Savior loved me even though I wasn't perfect and that I was always welcome no matter what.

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

We do genealogy so that we can link families together, do their temple work and seal families together forever.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to those around me especially my children. I am reading the Book of Mormon out loud to my children and am learning new things each day we read. I pray to my Heavenly Father daily for strength and guidance. I am the leader over the children in our ward and love it. I love the sweet spirit the littlest members of the gospel share with me each time I see them. I love it when they hug me every time they see me.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No, Mormons or members of The Church of Jesus Christ do not practice polygamy. The church has nothing whatsoever to do with the practice of polygamy. People who practice polygamy are not Mormons or members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If any members of the church are found practicing plural marriage, they are excommunicated, which is the most serious penalty the Church can impose. Not only are those involved in direct violation of the civil law, they are in violation of the law of this Church.
