I grew up in Michigan was baptized Baptist moved to Arizona and now I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to 4 wonderful children. 3 boys and 1 girl. I love to excerise, craft, play games and watch movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I moved to Arizona when I was 14 and met several members at my High School. After High School I became curious about the Mormon Church and asked my neighbors if I could go to church with them. I then started the discussions and three months later I was baptized. The best decision I ever made was to become a member of Jesus Christ's church. I love the Gospel with everything I have. I don't know where I would be without it.

Personal Stories

What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?

Harmony in our home has been developed by lots of talking, reading scriptures together and holding regular Family Home Evenings. A family that prays together, stays together.

How I live my faith

I serve as a Councelor and plan all our church women activities. We have so much fun planning activities outside of our ususal Sunday meetings. We have classes on bread making, gardening and all sorts of things. I also have two girls that I visit every month to see how they are doing. I help take meals to those girls who just had a baby or are having a rough day. I also am able to teach the women on Sundays every quarter and although it terrify's me sometimes, I have grown to love it.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes, Family relationships can last forever not just in this life.

YES!!! This is one of my favorite parts of the gospel. I believe that my family will live together in heaven. I will know my family as my family members. My husband is my husband for now and for all eternity. My children are my children here on earth and for all eternity. I know that if something happened to one of us that I will see them again. I love this about the church. Before joining, I always had a question about this concept and when taking the discussions from the missionaries this came up. Makes me love the church more and more.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The word of wisdom is the Lord's law of health. We abstain from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, coffee, and tea, and are encouraged to eat wholesome food and grains, and not eat excessive meat. I am asked all of the time by my fellow residents at the hospital why I don't drink coffee, and how I can stay awake all night on call without it. I don't consider it a sacrifice, though, and am as awake and perform as well as any. It is true that the body will be more healthy when following the word of wisdom, the but the main benefit is spiritual. The knowledge that you are in line with the the Lord's teaching is the most important thing.
