I recently graduated high school and have been attending college. I am two classes away from earning my associates degree and know exactly what I want to do as far as education goes. I have a college career plan and know what I have to do to combine my skill at business with my passion of airsofting. Airsofting is my way of getting out and releasing energy. I play with my friends and love the feel of real combat situations without the higher danger of getting into real gun sports. I am the oldest of 5 children. My mother and Father love us all dearly. I grew up in the church and have always loved it! I have so many friends who I love and who support me in everything I do. I live for my family and friends, life would be pointless without them. My family here on earth lets me know of my heavenly family and my heavenly father and how much he loves me. I love my family and friends.
I have grown up being a member of the church, but that doesn't mean that I have always been firm in the faith because of my own choice. I relied on the testimony of my parents and other family members until I grew older. I never had a huge revelation about the truth of the church, but through small and simple things I have come to know, without a doubt, that the church is true. I feel so strongly that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. I know that he bled and died for me because he loves me so much. I am God's child and he kows me so personally. Because of His love for me he wants me to be able to live with him for all of eternity. I know that for that to happen, he has given me his words to follow so that at the last day I will know what I need to do to be worthy to enter into his presence. The church and the members and the simple truths of the gospel have had such a powerfull effect on my life and I want so badly to be able to bring that message of joy to everyone so we can all live together as children of God after this life.
I have seen the power of prayer so clearly in my life. When I pray with a real, righteous intent and a sincere desire to know, heavenly father answers my prayers. I have seen answers to simple prayers as well as complex prayers with difficult questions I have had. One night, because I love to help people, I prayed for an opportunity to serve one of God's children the next day. The next day in my college algebra class I was given that opportunity. Even though I'm not very good at math, I was able to help not only one, but three of my classmates who were struggling with the previous nights homework. I know that God answers prayers. If we go to him, he is always there and always wants to help us.
I love to serve. There is no feeling in the world greater than serving our neighbors. I always look for opportunities to go out of my way and bless someone else in any way I can. Christ always taught by example and He lived a life of service. Christ never did anything for himself but was always thinking of others. I try to live my life in closer harmony with His by serving God's children.
As a member of the LDS church I love to serve. I know that God loves all of His children and wants only the best for everyone. I know that I can be an instrument in His hands to serve His children. I love to do simple acts like mowing lawns for those who are unable to, I love shoveling snow during the winter time and all other physical acts of service because of the feeling I get when I can look at what I have done and know that I have helped one of God's children. That feeling is sweeter than any other. I am involved in church leadership as well. I have served in many positions to assist the members of the church and to help everyone grow spiritually. I feel that as I have such a strong testimony, I need to share that with others to help them strengthen or develop their own testimony.
