Hi, I'm Bev
I'm a mother of 5, grandmother of 15 and there is no place I'd rather be than with my family. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My husband and I have owned and operated our own business for 30 years. I'm a mom of 5 and grandmother of 15. I love to take photos (mostly of my grandkids) and make digital scrapbook pages and videos. I love all kinds of crafts. Mostly I love being with my family.
Why I am a Mormon
I was raised in the church by wonderful parents, whom I am grateful for, and grew up believing the Gospel and its teachings, but I remember very strongly the day that I received confirmation and knew for sure that Jesus is the Christ, the literal Son of God. I was rocking my brand new baby girl, our first child, and I was reading the Book of Mormon out loud. When I came to 3rd Nephi Chapter 11 and I read the words, “Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name—hear ye him”, this overwhelming feeling of love came over me. The tears began to flow uncontrollably and I knew, without any doubt or question just who Jesus Christ is. I was enjoying the Book of Mormon so much that I tried to continue reading and I couldn’t because the tears kept flowing. I just held the Book and my daughter close to me and thanked my Heavenly Father for the experience and witness I had just received.
I'm a mormon because I know that by living the principles and teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ I am happier. The knowledge that families are forever gives me great comfort, joy, and peace. I'm a mormon because I know this Church is true and has so much to offer. I love knowing who I am, where I came from, and where I'm going.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by participating fully in all that our church has to offer. I live my faith by trying to be of service whenever and wherever I can. I have spent many years working with young women ages 12-18, but right now my husband and I serve together working with young single adults ages 18-31. We meet with these young adults every week for church and we organinze weekly activities and regular outings with them. We love being with these young adults and learning about them and their goals. Being there for them and trying to help and support them in any way we can has actually been more of a blessing in our own lives.
I live my faith by trying my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ and letting the spirit guide me in every day decisions which helps me to be a better example for my children and sweet little grandchildren.
