About Me

I'm a a single professional working as an Accounting Clerk. I love living in the Pacific Northwest and doing all kinds of seasonal activities, especially anything outdoors. It's beautiful all year long with the ocean, mountains, and forests. Some of my hobbies include crafts, cooking, decorating, historical research, gardening, pets, and service projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because deep in my soul i recognize the truth of the Gospel and the LDS faith allows me to put these principles in action along with others who support, uplift, and inspire me to be a righteous woman of virtue and faith.

What is hope and what do you hope for?

Hope (noun) "is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best".

I hope for a spiritual life with an eternal family that brings me closer to God through the Gospel of Christ.

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

The gift of the Holy Ghost has helped me in so many ways it's hard to describe all my experiences. I will simply say that if more people listened to that still, small voice, the world would be a better place.

How has attending Church services helped you?

Attending church on a a weekly basis allows me to stay on the straight and narrow path of faith and enlightens my life with the loving guidance of lessons inspired by the priesthood. It also allows me to receive and provide service through the organization of Relief Society.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Mormons go on missions to share the Gospel of Christ and to spread word of the Plan of Salvation so that others will be educated and have a choice in deciding what path to follow in life and death.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an active participant in my ward which includes holding a calling, providing service, hosting missionary dinners, and babysitting for church families.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

If a person is interested in becoming a member of the church, i would advise them to meet and speak with the missionaries, study the Book of Mormon, learn about the Plan of Salvation, the Word of Wisdom and ponder all before deciding to be Baptised.

You definitely can learn about the Gospel of Christ (Faith, Repentence, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End) from the missionaries and then follow the steps to apply these in your life. When you truly live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you will do this thorugh the proper preisthood authority of God. A natural consequence is becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Mormons believe that grace is a vital part of the atonement of Jesus Christ. We believe that it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do. The good works of an individual coupled with the grace of Christ can lead us to salvation. The grace of Jesus Christ is also an "enabling power" that gives us the strength to bear up under the burdens and trials of life. I have found great strength by relying upon the grace of Christ at times in my life when there was nothing else to provide it. Many times, I have been enabled to perform daily tasks, church assignments, responsibilities as a father and husband that were well beyond my personal abilities. I know that this was the enabling power of the grace of Jesus Christ. Grace is Christ's power to save me after this life and His power to help me while still here on the earth. I must always do my part through faith repentance and good works, but I know that in the end, it will be His grace that will save me.
