I am Joni and I like to go to Church and do volunteer work plus go to work and school and enjoy helping people,

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member because I hadn't been to my Presbyterian Church for years and felt I needed a change, and since I did I have felt alot of change and my life is alot better and this Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gospel has brought me out of a fog, I just feel so much better about myself and God and Jesus.

To teach the World about Latter Day Saints, the word of Jesus, the word of God and the Holy Spirit, is your word, your prayer and your daily life.

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

So greatful and happy I was Baptised and take sacrement every Sunday as long as I can get there.

Being nice to people help's and helping people.

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

just by praying, you know the Holy Ghost is listening because you feel changes.

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

So that we can be sealed to our family's and other people can find there familys, family is #1, we take care of each other with God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

He started this wonderful Church with all these wonderful Christian's.

What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?

Reading the book of Mormon, and Praying.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Every morning, afternoon and evening I pray for guidance and to be right with God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, and to bless those who need help and watch over my family and keep them safe and then I thankful for the blessings.

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

getting to live by the book of Mormon and Jesus.

How I live my faith

I like to volunteer my service's where ever needed, I'm alway's willing to help at the Shoreline ward/branch.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Although the Holy Ghost may temporarily comfort someone or reveal truth to them, the gift of the Holy Ghost is reserved for those who have been baptized and confirmed into Christ’s Church. This gift is the privilege of enjoying the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost conditional upon keeping the commandments. The gift of the Holy Ghost is given when a person is confirmed a member of the Church after baptism by someone having priesthood authority from God. It is given by the person having authority laying their hands upon the head of the person who was baptized and giving them a blessing to receive the Holy Ghost (Acts 8:14-18). Whether or not we then receive this great gift depends on our keeping the commandments of God Show more Show less

We can receive guidance. Today I prayed to be worthy to have the Holy Ghost, recognize it's promptings, and do what it said. After that I was at the bathroom sink, and I had a feeling about a book store that sells our church books. I wondered why I thought about it, and prayed what to do. I thought about going down to the store, but went on the website. I remembered it was my sister's birthday in three days and was trying to pick out something. I couldn't decide. Then all of a sudden my phone rang, and it was my sister! She wanted to visit on Skype. She talked, and talked, and then got very excited about some music that she and her husband were writing. It was my answer. When we were done I went back to the website, and found a Cd perfectly suited to her. It was a peaceful feeling and great help to me. I know God helps us through the Holy Ghost. The Church is made up members who hold differing political views, positions and opinions.
