About Me

I am a husband, father, brother, and Grandfather. I have bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering and work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. I enjoy traveling, boating, fishing, crabbing and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Saviors church and living the principles taught in the church will bring me closer to Christ. It has been my experience that great happiness and joy comes into my life when I live the principals taught by the Lord Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures and pray daily, attend church, serve in various church assignments and try to develop Christ like characteristics.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes, I truly believe there is a prophet today leading our church and bringing blessings into the world. Why would God provide a prophet in olden days, but not now? Did He love those people more than He loves us? Did they need guidance more than we do? Is the world less confusing now than it was then? The answers to all these questions are no. It only makes sense that God would have a prophet now as He did in days of old. He loves us just as much as He did those people long ago and we need Him just as much as they needed Him then.

Definitely! In fact, it is hard for me to imagine the world without them. We live in difficult times with wars, economic uncertainty, and just issues and questions that are unique to our generation. Prophets are able to speak with God and relay critical guidance to us that help us to always know what God would have us do.

I believe God loved His children enough in the 'old' days to send His prophets to guide and teach them. He is unchanging, and loves us equally and continues to always have His prophets give us instructions that pertain to our generation.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Chastity is reserving physical intimacy for after marriage. This sexual intimacy is such a beautiful and powerful display of love that it is to be reserved for that special time. When we do this we are showing the respect and love we have for ourselves and our bodies, as the gift from God that they are. Through our dress, language and behavior we also show our self worth and respect for who we are. The neat thing about being modest is the strong self confidence that is exhibited by your outward appearance. There is a power that comes from knowing that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. As parents teach their children that simple truth, that self confidence will develop and as the desire to be modest in dress, language and behavior will come naturally. I know that this was the case in my life and am super grateful for the teachings of my parents and the high self confidence it cultivated in knowing of my individual worth as a daughter of God.
