Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, by two good parents with strong testimonies of the church. I was taught well the difference between right and wrong. Did that stop me from making my fair share of wrong choices? Absolutely not. I'm a Mormon because, through the ups and downs, the church has brought a peace to my life that can be found nowhere else. I've felt, seen, and heard things that I just can't deny. It's my desire to return one day to my Heavenly Father and the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides a direct route for me to accomplish my goal. I know that through this plan of salvation that has been placed before us, that we can return to live with our families eternally. The Lord has promised us blessings as we live righteously and in accordance with his teachings, I've seen those blessings in my life time and time again. I'm a Mormon, because I've been given the answers to life's questions, and I believe them to be true.

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

I've had the unique opportunity to share my music with people from a stage with a microphone. A talent that God gave me, that took a long time to develop, and an even longer time to feel comfortable sharing it live and in public. I'm grateful for the talents I was given and all the opportunities I've had to share them. I'd like to think that the positivity in our music has brought happiness in some form to the listeners we've shared our music with.

We all have talents. I encourage you to develop them, whatever they may be, and share them selflessly. You'll be amazed at how it not only blesses the lives around you, but yours as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving my best. Realizing that I will fall and make mistakes, but that there's always a way to pick yourself up, dust off, and keep moving forward. I have 2 callings in my ward that I'm extremely grateful for. I serve in the Sunday School Presidency and as a teacher. It's helped me to grow in the gospel, and in my day to day life, in many many ways.
