I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of eight children. I have been married to the same beautiful woman for twenty seven years. My favorite hobby is reading the same books and watching the same movies as my children. This gives us a lot to talk about and we can discuss how the characters are portrayed and how they relate to real life. As a family we go camping as often as we can, we love God's creations and the peace we feel in nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but it was not until I was sixteen that I sincerely studied and prayed to know if the things taught by the church were true. The Holy Ghost bore witness to my soul that this is the Lord's church. I know that Joseph Smith is the prophet of the restoration. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that we have a living prophet today to teach us what the Lord wants us to know.

How I live my faith

One of the things I have enjoyed doing since I have been old enough to drive is to help people who have broken down at the side of the road. I believe that what you give you receive. I always feel my Saviors love when I help others.

The president of the church today is the prophet of the world. His name is Thomas S. Monson. I know he is lead by God and leads God's church.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

We believe that men and women are equal in importance, but different in responsibilities and roles. We are two parts of a whole. Women can bear and raise children, men provide and protect. This may seem old-fashioned, but it works! My husband is the President of a company, and I tell him that he is the President at work, and I am the President of my own little corporation at home. I support him in his challenging job, and he supports me in mine. I do believe that "the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world"! I am caring for, teaching and nurturing children who will go out in the world and fulfill their own great destinies. I feel a huge responsibility to prepare them for what they will face in the future and to make sure that they have the ability/tools to handle whatever challenges life brings them. I have the greatest and most challenging job in the world!
