I'm a future missionary. I'm studying to be a mom. I sing to inspire. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an older sister that tries to teach through example. I love kids of all ages! they bring out my inner (and somewhat outter) goofiness. I'm undecided on everything except that I want to be married in the temple to a return missionary who has proved their worth throught their testimonies. I love to sing, sing, and sing some more! If I could dance well I would probably love to do that too. I love art, through music pictures paintings or friendships. I am choosing to go on a mission when I am old enough so that I can share the gospel and bring faith to those who have none. As for now I attend seminary in order to recieve my training. I set my goals high, and even though I don't exceed at all of them, I try my best either way. My hobbies include, reading, writing, helping people and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I was raised to believe that i have a plan that has been layed out for my stay here on earth. I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed to my Father in Heaven and have recieved a knowledge on my own, that gaurentees His presence. I KNOW He is there. I have felt His warmth. I have learned from my mistakes and He has loved me unconditionally. I am a mormon because this is The Church that Heavenly Father put here in order for me to return to Him in Heaven above so i can live for eternity with my family.

How I live my faith

i am a member of my Stake Youth council. that means I strive to be a better example for high school kids in my area. I try to be friends with everyone. I help organize weekly activities in our wards.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

i don't think our lives are that much different. we're a busy family. both my parents work. my dad in the day, and my mom sacrifices her nights just so she can be a mom in the day. Luckily my parents don't want me to work until i'm graduated. They expect me try my best in school and get good grades so that i can attend college. they don't push me into any career or school but i really want to go to a university. i'm blessed to have a closeness with both my parents and sibling which i don't think alot of people can say they have. we try to serve friends and family regularly. our family refuses to judge others. it's kind of invisible guidleine.
i 'm not saying that that's a life every mormon lives, but our families been that way for 17 years!

Family is everything to us. Our family spends lots of our free time together because we like each other. Life gets crazy with teenagers, dance practice, after school academic decathlon, usually with a toddler in tow, but no matter what, every Monday night is Family Night.

The kids know that every Monday we spend time together and nothing gets in the way of it. It's our commitment to each other. We bake cookies, have lessons about the Savior, work on personal goals, go to the park, go geocaching, play board games or just go out for ice cream.

We do lots of things together. The point is that at least once a week we spend an hour or two together, just for the sake of being together, just because we love being together as a family. It's not as perfect as it may sound, with all the poking and "she's in my spot," and all the other crazy things family members do to each other when scrambling for a spot in the living room, but we try real hard. It takes effort to make sure we don't miss, but it's worth it.

I'm not sure the kids will remember all the games we played, the places we went or what we did, but I hope they always remember that we loved each other enough to dedicate one night a week to be with each other. And that we spent every Monday night together for as many Mondays as they can remember because family is everything to us, and every member of our family is important.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

As a convert I was concerned that the bible was replaced by the Book of Mormon. How far from the truth that concern was, as the Bible is the LDS primary teaching tool and the Book of Mormon is simply another testament of Jesus Christ and serves to verify the truths found in the Bible. Cerrtainly the Bible is Holy Scripture and the Word of God, as is the Book of Mormon. I have come to love the Book of Mormon and cross-reference the Bible and Book of Mormon finding the same truths in both volumes of scripture.
