I love to fish, I'm adopted, I'm an older brother to triplets, I am a member of the wolfpack, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a twenty year old young man currently serving a mission in Spokane Washington. I love the out doors I enjoy fishing and boating when I can. I am the oldest child in my family and it can be fun sometimes. My grand fathers and my father are my Hero. I have lost close friends in my life. In high school 4 very young people lost their lives in unrelated accidents but through gods plan of happiness I know i will see them again.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's the only thing in this crazy world that makes sense.(where'd my root beer go?) The world in which we live is full of trouble and rough times, But the gospel of Jesus Christ that this church follows adds a sense of meaning to this life a sense of hope. This church is the path back to heaven. I bare testimony that this is the true church, that its teachings are the way back to heaven and to our eternal families. That the church Jesus Christ founded and set up while he was on the earth is again on the earth. That Jesus is our lord and savior and that he died for our sins, he is the only way back to heaven. He's the way the truth and the light. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

My ward is a family. We love each other, and watch out for one another. Events in the community are always great to get together and help out weather it be operation happiness or thanksgiving taking food to the needy, It's great to give back. This church is so community oriented and so help minded it is so easy to give back to the community. Going to visit the elderly in our ward is great, they have so much to talk about when you just take the time to listen the amazing stories they have will keep you in awe. there are so many ways the church blesses me to live my faith.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

the church does not pick sides in political parties. but if you want to be honest- just like the lds church is the only true church, republicans are the only right party.

No. The church advocates principles and doctrine but does not endorse a certain political party or candidate. If you look in the United States Congress, you'll see members of the Mormon church sitting on both sides of the aisle from the current Senate Majority Leader to a 2008 presidential candidate.

However, the church is involved in the public arena when political initiatives intersect with principles of Christ's gospel. When this happens, the church will release a statement advocating certain principles and encouraging members to uphold these principles. This type of action often leads to confusion. Church support for an initiative for religious reasons should not be taken to imply support for a particular political party. These are two distinctly separate activities.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Absolutely not! I grew up in the church and I'd say the number of people that I've helped in the church is significantly smaller than the number of people I've assisted out side the church. This is not to say I don't help my fellow church members. We believe that we are all children of our Heavenly Father. And by that reasoning we are all brothers and sisters. I take that to heart and when I see someone in need I try to help to the best of my ability and training. Organized service projects aside, I've helped several stranded motorists on the side of the road. I give food to people I've seen that appear to be hungry on the side of the road. And for a long time, when I was growing up, my dad and I would do Meals on Wheels for those in need. I've volunteered at soup kitchens more recently. And during times of widely known hurricanes, I've volunteered on clean up crews multiple times. There is a song we have in our church called "Because I Have Been Given Much." I don't want to post the entire lyrics here, but they are available on a popular search engine. That song is very poignant to me and has always been near and dear to my heart. Also being a former Boy Scout, I have tried to uphold both the Scout Law and Oath to this day. I love my Heavenly Father, and I love my fellow man and want to do all I can to help others in any way I can.
