I am a mom. I love going to the movies, swimming, playing games on my phone and mostly spending time with my husband and kids!

About Me

We currently have 3 kids. I had one and my husband had 2 when we got married in the temple. I love spending time with all 3 of our kids. They are 2 teenagers and a 4 year old. We are blessed to be welcoming the newest member of our family this coming July! We love having random adventures. We like to explore our city like the tourists do. We love going to the movies and renting them, too. I like swimming and spending time with my hubby & kids at Sea World.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is the true church. I was born and raised in this church but stopped going after I turned 18. Off and on I would come back but it was more like a visit than a long term life choice. Then one day I found out I was pregnant. I remembered a promise I had made with my Heavenly Father years and years before. That promise was to raise my children to love the Lord as I did and to know His truth. It was easier to leave my "bad habits and life" than it was to start my good one. But I faithfully started coming back. Then slowly my testimony of the truth of this Gospel found it's way back from my heart to my brain. I have always known my Heavenly Father loves me. I am proud that others know it too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my church's childrens program. I love going to activities that our church puts on. The church does activites for all ages. I visit with other members of the church and help give service when ever we can.

In our home we have daily family prayer. We are teaching our 4 year old about Heavenly Father and Jesus. We also read the scriptures together as a family.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

A temple is a house of the Lord, a place where we may worship our Heavenly Father and feel of His presence. It is a sacred place where no unclean thing can enter. Because of the importance and sacredness of the temple, a temple recommend is required and is received based on individual worthiness within the church in order to enter its holy walls.

The temple is where I go to find answers, to find peace, and to feel the Spirit. We are encouraged to go as often as possible and to attend seeking Spiritual guidance. Inside we perform sacred ordinances for ourselves and more often for others, those who are deceased. God requires that all to make covenants in order to return to His presence and many died without the opportunity to make these covenants. In the temple we perform the ordinances for them in their name giving them the opportunity to reject or accept the ordinance and thus enter into the presence of the Father. The temple is a very sacred and holy place.

Temples are used to perform sacred ordinances necessary for salvation. One of these is a temple marriage--making it possible to be together as a family for eternity. Since these ordinances are sacred, only members who are striving to live the gospel may enter. All members are strongly encouraged to become and/or stay worthy to enter the temple. Members also go to the temple to seek guidance, comfort, and personal revelation from God.

What do Mormons believe happens after we die?

We were so very sad when our very special eleven year old grandson died in 2009. He suffered from life threatening asthma from birth and was often in hospital. He caught a virus which attacked his heart causing it to go into a dangerous rhythm, which eventually stopped his heart. Every attempt was made to save him but to no avail. The night he died, I thought I might die too - I was so overcome with grief. I was grieving not only for him but for our daughter and her family too. I received enormous comfort from my family and friends, especially those in the church and the outpouring of love and support was indescribable. However, the most comfort I received was my knowledge that I absolutely knew that we would see him again in the next life and that our family would be together forever in the eternities. I was also comforted to know that our grandson would be free from his health problems and be able to have peace. Even though I miss him terribly, I know he is happy and with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I feel his spirit around me often. I know with total conviction that the Lord has unconditionally supported all of our family through this trial and continues to do so daily.
