Hi, I'm Chaz
I'm friends with Kory Sumsion. I like to recycle. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a decent guy. I'm currently a missionary for the church in the Spokane mission; I love helping people to make changes in their lives and watch them find happiness. I was born in Arizona, but i grew up in Utah. I love my family and spending time with them. Soy Tapatio. I love my friends and the good examples they are. I love sports, especially volleyball and basketball. I like watching football, but was never good at it. I'll pick up a ping pong paddle once in a while. I've been known move on the dance floor. I love motorcycles and my mom could not hate them more. I don't enjoy halo with tyler, but he's a good guy. I like to golf with my father, we're good friends. Recycling things gets me up in the morning. I hate how dogs and cats get hair on my suit. I love listening to Les Miserable, Newsies, and high school musical. At 17 my retinas separated in both eyes and almost went blind. I like living in the moment. I'm happy
Why I am a Mormon
- I read the Book of Mormon, I pondered, and I prayed.
My family are also members of the church and have been the greatest examples in my life. There was never any huge answer to my recollection, it came little by little as I lived it. There comes a point where everyone is backed up to that wall of faith and has to make a stand for themselves; it is true or it isn't. Perfect understanding can't come all at once, but I new it was right in my heart. I feel like the gospel has given perspective on what happiness really means. For me it is found in the love of my family and friends. Following Jesus Christ means everything to me. Following his teachings gives me hope, and purpose. It gives direction to my everyday decisions; in fact probably affects every decision I make every day. It's my testimony that the doctrine of Christ is happiness with eternal value. I've never been more sure of anything in my life.
I get asked a lot why I'm mormon and often think about where I would be without the church or if I wasn't a member and the resulting thoughts are never better than where I am now. So I'm glad that being a mormon teaches me to follow Christ and seek after righteousness.
How I live my faith
We believe in being honest true chaste benevolent virtous and in doing good to all men. Indeed we may say we follow the admonition of paul- we believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and we hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous lovely or of good report or praiseworthy we seek after these things. One way i live my faith is currently serving a mission for the LDS church. I have the opportunity to share what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has to offer everyone. I have the opportunity to share my testimony of the gospel and what it means to me with others. I believe essentially as a missionary I get to share how people can find true lasting happiness and how being a mormon has brought me closer to Christ. Living the faith is such an important part of life. Christ never taught sit back and watch me, but follow me. It is false and a mochery to associate the atonement with idleness. Our Savior's sacrifice was an investment intended to change us, in fact perfect us if we would choose so. Faith without works is dead being alone. Faith is a word of action, if one has true faith it will inspire him to DO something about it.
