Chris Sturgeon: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Chris Sturgeon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the agency & clinical director as well as a mental health therapist in our own private mental health clinic which is in Everett WA. My wife & I are also Alpaca ranchers with 110 alpacas. I love my work, ranching, golf, hockey, puttering & my wife. I love being a husband, a dad, a son & I am a Mormon. I grew up in Calgary Canada as a youth. Our neighbors introduced my mother to the gospel. At age 11 I joined the church. I enjoyed attending the youth programs, early morning seminary & then attended one of the church universities in Rexburg Idaho upon graduating high school. After a semester at Ricks College in 1972 I served a mission in the North of England. Upon completion of my mission & completing my studies at Ricks College I returned to Winnipeg Canada where I finished a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & Political Science and then to IUGS for my Doctorate. I was married for 20 years to the mother of my 2 children. I have had many opportunities to give service in the church some of those include serving in, a Mission Presidency in The Canada Winnipeg Mission, Bishoprics, Young Men’s President and High Priest priesthood quorum leadership. In 1999 I immigrated to the US and married the love of my life. We live in the Arlington Washington area on our Alpaca Ranch. We also work together in our own Mental Health Clinic. As the agency & clinical director of our mental health clinic I am kept busy with administrative & therapeutic duties responsibilities.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to understand and have developed a certainty that I am a son of God. Worshiping my Heavenly Father and the Savior as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings a groundedness to my life. I have read and prayed about the modern scripture translated by Joseph Smith (the Book of Mormon) and have a God given inspired answer to prayer that I am to be a member of this church. My life has found meaning and great joy as a result of being a member the church.

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

When we leave this life many of us ask what kind of foot print am I going to leave behind. Perhaps the greatest footprint is sharing with others what principles, truths, and knowledge we have learned. Giving of one self to others is one of the richest gifts we give.

How I live my faith

Throughout my membership in the church I have had many opportunities to give service. I have had administrative and also hands on responsibilities within the church. I have had opportunities to give service publically in my community. I worship not only weekly by attending church on the Sabbath but by living the the beliefs of the church day by day
