About Me

I'm McKayla. I'm a sophomore in high school, I play soccer and golf. I love the Summer, being with friends and family, and watching football with my Dad. I have one brother and one sister. My biggest dream is to attend Brigham Young University. I believe that you should laugh as much as you breathe. And I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because nothing makes me more happy than knowing that I am a divine daughter of God and I am happiest when I'm living my beliefs.

How I live my faith

I try to live my standards everyday in everything that I do. Whether I'm at school, at home, or at church. I avoid drugs and alcohol, dress modestly, and participate in as many community funcitons as possible.

We believe that our families are the basic unit of any society, and that failure in the home means that we've failed as a nation and a people. We've heard that it takes a village to raise a child, and that's true enough. But our leaders have told us that the most important work we can do in life, even more than any professional pursuits, is to raise our children in righteousness. Think about it. If each father and mother were just a little more engaged in their family's lives i'm not talking about controlling their family, helping their sons and daughters with the challenges they constantly face, the crises we find ourselves in as a nation would become much less. We'd more good in the world as a result. You may think that naive or unrealistic, but I know how much good one family can cause, and how much pain another can cause. We want to change the world, and to do that we need to change ourselves and help our families become better too. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Our decision to serve missions is motivated by our belief in the Gospel and our desire to fulfill the Savior's command to "preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15. The Gospel teaches us that we are all sons and daughters of God, and so we feel a kinship with all of God's children and a desire to help them enjoy the peace in this life that the Gospel provides.Our missionaries are not salesman and won't take much of your time, but I know that your decision to invite them into your home will change your life for good!
