Talon Gaudio.: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Talon Gaudio.

I'm a Mormon. I was raised in the church, and stopped going to church for a 10 years. I came back and have never been happier.

About Me

I am 30 years old and was raised in the church. I left the church for 10 years, became addicted to drugs, have been homeless, and countless other experiences. I am a cook, a singer, a song writer, and a poet. I have a Death Metal Band and live my life as the best person i can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because of my own choosing. I decided at the age of 23 to rediscover the church and all it has to offer. I met some great people who became my friends and helped me to stay sober. Because of them I have been sober for 7 years.

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

God has told us that through scripture, and through Jesus Christ that we all have weaknesses... We are all here to rely on one another to learn, and to grow, and fulfill the great potential that God sees in all of us. My talents are many and can help others to come to the realization that they too have great talents that can bless others. I try to see the good in people and help them to realize their great potential that God has put into all of us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through home teaching, which i believe is a personal way to share one's conversion story in a setting that is personal, and prayerful, and also respectful of God. I love God with all my heart, and I read my Book of Mormon Daily. I am open to talking to anyone about my life, my experiences and how I have changed by living my faith, as long as the questions are intended in a respectful way. I teach Sunday School in a rotation with other teachers, and have taught the sunday school to 12 and 13 year olds as well as since my reactivation in the church. I learned ASL to be a sign language interpreter, realizing that it was my responsibility to communicate with those who are deaf, since they can never learn my language. That is what it means to be a christian to me. Reaching out to people who are in different circumstances, who in turn can teach us to be better and happier, and being able to pass on that happiness to others.
