Hi, I'm Annaliese
I'm a mom, a cook, and a writer. And I'm a Mormon.
About Me
Even though I have a bachelors degree in computer science, I choose to stay home with my two kids. At times I struggle with their stubbornness, but they bring me a lot of joy. One of my children is allergic to dairy, gluten, and soy, so I spend a lot of time researching recipes and cooking safe foods for him.
When I find the time, I enjoy reading and writing stories, mostly fantasy. Although currently, I find myself drawn to telling stories about people with food allergies or other food problems (like celiac disease).
Why I am a Mormon
When I was going through changes and challenges as a teenager, I found a lot of peace and comfort as I read the scriptures and sought the Lord in prayer. So I have continued to do so as my challenges grew harder.
The hardest thing in my life so far has been adapting to my son's allergies. I mourned the loss of alfredo sauce and our family's roll recipe. But as we learned how to eat without those foods, I have felt a great peace through the Spirit that my son and his trials well known to our Father in Heaven. It has given me much emotional and spiritual support, to know that I can adapt and that I am following His plan for our family.
How I live my faith
In church, I help two special needs boys as they learn during their sunday school lessons and children's singing time. I have never been trained to deal with special needs, but I have two brothers on the autism spectrum, so I am aware of the patience and love required to help these boys learn about their Savior.

Joseph Smith
As is the case throughout history God has communicated to His children through prophets. God used a humble man as a prophet to restore His Church on earth who ultimately died defending His faith.
