I like to write poems, I love art and music, I love to read good books, I am a grandmother of 10. I was raised in the church I have been privileged to work now for the last 15 years in the temple in the cafeteria as a supervisor and cook. I have had many different jobs. I started out being a hair stylist then a mother. I love family history work and learning about my ancestors, who they were, where they lived and what they did.
I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I gained a testimony as a young girl, but there was a time when I fell away from the church and one day I realized that I needed to go back. I am thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ and the atonement He made so that we can repent and come back into the fold. The best thing I ever did next to marrying my husband in the temple and having our children was to return to activity in the Church. Here I have felt His love and forgiveness and guidance as I have taken the road back and returned to activity. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the atonement he made for us that provides a way so that we can repent and be worthy to be part of this glorious gospel. I have ancestors who set an example for me when they heard the gospel message and joined the Church. They knew it was the restored gospel on the earth again, led by a Prophet of God, Joseph Smith. I too know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored by a Prophet of God and that we are led by one today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that in the Holy temples we can be sealed together eternally as families and enjoy all the blessings awaiting us.
Attending Church services has strengthened my because I always learn new things about the Savior and how to become more like Him and overcome my challenges and trials. I also feel the spirit of the Lord when I attend and participate in the services, teaching a class or sharing my testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know if I am prepared to recieve the revelation I need before I go to my meetings I will be richly blessed. And just being around the wonderful members of the Church in our meetings enriches my life, and the feeling of family by interacting with each other. I love to see the little children there, espically those who try to be so reverent by folding their arms, or when they smile at you.
I live my faith by attending my meetings and serving in my callings. I live my faith in the way I treat others, trying to live as the Savior would have me live and treating everyone the way He would treat them. I serve the sisters in my ward, and find great satisfaction in working with them, and also by being a visiting teacher.
