Hi, I'm Bridget
I grew up by the ocean. I'm a sister and a daughter. I love sushi and donuts and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm going to college soon and I am majoring in Art. I grew up in a town where there weren't a lot of mormons so it was really important for me to be firm in what i believed in so that I could be an example for people around me. And although I think it would have been easier to keep my standards had I lived in a place where there were more people like me I'm grateful for the opportunities that have arisen from meeting the people I have. Its made me realize that there are good people in the world who don't share my faith.
Why I am a Mormon
I was raised in the church. Both my parents where already members when I was born. But they never forced me to do things that I didn't want to do. For a while I went to church because I had never known anything else. But after a while I really started thinking about what the church taught and why I followed the guidelines they gave me. Everything in the gospel makes sence. Its incredibly logical. As an example we have something called the Word of Wisdom that is basically a guidline for staying healthy. Mormons don't smoke because its not healthy. We don't drink alcohol because its not healthy. I like to know that there is a purpose to my life,
How I live my faith
I go to church every Sunday and at church I lead the music during the first hour and during the third hour I teach the women. I try and not be a Sunday worshiper only. I want to have my religion be a part of my every day life. And in order to do that I not only go through the motions of saying my prayers and reading scriptures but also by trying to be the best person I can be.
