About Me

Science/Technology Teacher of 25years, Coached chess 17 years. Summers I am the Nature Lodge Director at a Boy Scout camp. I catch rattlesnakes and teach astronomy at night. I am the father of two sons, and have been married 26 years.

Why I am a Mormon

While serving in the military, I finally read the Book of Mormon. I read it in 3 days while fasting. I gained a testimony of the Gospel and leaving the military I entered the mission field where I served for two years refining my testimony.

How I live my faith

I teach a lesson every month and I am the Stake Technology "Nerd". All the buildings have computers, and sometimes they need a little help. I try to keep them working and repair them when they don't.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

In Temples, families are united for eternity. We learn who we are, why we came here, and where we go when this life is finished.

Temples are used to perform sacred ordinances necessary for salvation. One of these is a temple marriage--making it possible to be together as a family for eternity. Since these ordinances are sacred, only members who are striving to live the gospel may enter. All members are strongly encouraged to become and/or stay worthy to enter the temple. Members also go to the temple to seek guidance, comfort, and personal revelation from God.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Just start out with a small prayer to God and just this one act will start you on a path that will bring you into a relationship with Him. Don't be afraid to ask for guidance from the missionaries this is the thing they live for.
