Hi, I'm Brittany
I grew up in Boise. Graduated with an art major in college. I'm a mother of 3. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a mother of 3 young children who keep me on my toes. I love the outdoors, sewing, photography, and am a Zumba Fitness instructor. I am also an artist in my "spare time" and enjoy painting and drawing in charcoal. I also enjoy decorating cakes, and arranging flowers.
My husband and I met in college at BYU-Idaho and moved to Washington after school at the first job opportunity. We have been here for 5 years now.
I am an avid blogger and enjoy documenting my family's life with stories, photos, recipes, silly things my kids say, and other milestones that I want to remember.
I am always trying new things and right now am working on developing a talent for photography.
Why I am a Mormon
I am so grateful for my calling of being a mother. I am humbled that Heavenly Father would trust me with such precious spirits to look after and teach. I am trying my best to be a good mother to them and know that my responsibilities are great. I look forward to the challenge and know that we aren't given anything in this life that we can't handle. With that, I am thankful for the knowledge that my Savior is with me and is there to help me.
I am grateful for a prophet who guides us and teaches us, and am grateful for the scriptures. I know the Book of Mormon to be true. I have read it, and have prayed about it. I have felt the Spirit testify to me that it is true. I know that if you do the same you can also receive that witness.
I am grateful of the knowledge that I have of Jesus Christ and his plan for us. I often wonder what my life would be like and where I'd be without knowing that I will one day be with him again. I know that one day I will too see other members of my family that have passed on. Life would be so sad and uncertain if I didn't believe that. I know everything in life has a purpose. Have you ever wondered what might have happened differently if you made a different choice than what you actually did at one point in time? I know I have. But I also know that what has happened, and what is to come, is more exciting and wonderful than I can even know now. I know my Heavenly Father loves me, and that he has a plan for me. I know that his Son Jesus Christ came to this earth and that he suffered and died for me. To know that someone was willing to do that for me is humbling and touches me deeply. It makes me want to do my best in this life to make that sacrifice worth the effort. I know the scriptures to be true and they are a blessing in my life. I love my family and look forward to spending all eternity with them.
How I live my faith
In my community currently I have been helping organize fundraising events for a friend of mine who recently was diagnosed with breast cancer. I want to help in any way I can and have found this to be a way I can show my love and support for her.
I team teach the 7, 8, and 9 year olds in Primary with my husband at church. I am also a teacher in the church's women's organization once a month.
