Hi I'm Gloria

About Me

I like reading books and watching movies in my free time. I'm single and am going to college to first get my associates degree in Multimedia Technology, and then I am going to transfer to a University to go even farther than that. I like to do well in school and get good grades. I have 10 brothers and sisters. I like playing games with my family. I also like playing several kinds of sports, like Softball, Basketball, and Volleyball. Another thing that I like a lot is singing and playing the piano and violin. I love music.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it is the true church and the only way to get back to live with God again. The reason I know this is that I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. I got an answer to my prayer, and I know without a doubt, that it is true. Every time I read the Book of Mormon I fell the Spirit and a sense of peace and calm come over me. I know that God (Heavenly Father) always calls prophets to guide us. I know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father, and that He loves us and wants the best for each of us in this life.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

The part that prayer plays in my life is that it is central to everything I do. It is the way that I can talk with my Heavenly Father (God) and He answers me with impressions from the Holy Ghost. I feel a wonderful sense of peace as I pray, that helps me get through any trials I might be having, or even to remember what to put on a final exam for a class. I know that Heavenly Father always listens and answers our prayers, sometimes not in the way we would think that they would be answered, but He always answers.

How I live my faith

Two months ago I got back serving a mission for the church in Lima, Peru. I am now participating in my ward by visiting some Sisters in my ward. That is called visiting teaching, where we get a list of a few of the Sisters in the ward and then visit them every month and care for them. I attend church every Sunday. I also sing in my ward choir.
