About Me

I graduated from high school- class of 2010, I graduated from Cosmetology school shortly after that, I had the privledge of moving to Florida and working at Disneyworld in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where I did little girl's hair and makeup like princesses:), I do hair, I love going to church and working towards becoming more like my savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been fortunate enough to be a member my whole life and I have always stayed an active member because in the ever changing world today, it is the one thing that is firm and constant. I love that the LDS church is the same, no matter where you are in the world. I am happiest when I am striving to be more like my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and His son when he was just 14 years old and he re-established the same church that was once on the earth with help from our Father in Heaven. I know that He lives, and that He loves me because I have felt it many, many times in my life. I know that Jesus Christ died for all of our sins, and if we repent and commit to becoming more like Him, we can be happy and make it back to our Father in Heaven.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints go on missions because we realize that being a member is such a blessing, and we want others to find the ever-lasting happiness that we as members have. We feel it is selfish to keep such an amazing thing to ourselves. We want to share it with the world!

How I live my faith

I go to church on a weekly basis because it makes me happy. It is also rejuvenating to be able to go to church and focus on becoming more like our Father in Heaven, instead of focusing on the worldly things, that really don't matter. Going to church every week gives me the strength to make it through another week. I love to serve and lighten other's burdens and stresses.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

We believe that all sexual activity should be reserved for marriage and that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

We do not deny anyone the right to choose. Hate has no place in our church.

I grew up in California and was in the middle of the same-sex marriage debate. The Church believes that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that children have the right to be brought into the world with a mother and father who love and honor each other and their marital vows. I agree with this doctrine, so I, along with others of my faith, supported Prop. 8 in 2009. Any time I spoke with someone, I explained that we all, regardless of our side on this issue, are motivated by love. Love of mankind, of God, of society, etc. So much of the debate turned to hatred, but it's important to remember that love is always our initial motivation. I know people, good friends, who live a homosexual lifestyle. They've shown love to me, and I love them, but I believe their lifestyles are contrary to the will of God. That doesn't mean that I can prevent them from doing what I think is wrong, but their liberty does not translate into license. Liberty in America has never been about license to do whatever we choose. When we, as a people, believe something is wrong, it is our democratic right to enact laws against such things. Likewise, if we believe something is divinely inspired, like the institution of marriage between a man and a woman, it is not only our right but our duty to stand up for it. If we don't, I'm afraid that America will lose the protective hand of God that has embraced us for so many years.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

It is only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. Grace is the only way that we can have eternal happiness. To acess that grace, we need to do the things that He has asked us to do: have faith in Him, repent, be baptized by someone holding His authority, recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost, and follow Him and keep His commandments throughout our lives.
